Kendrick Lamar has officially wrapped what many are calling a historic global run. The Super Bowl performer has been touring nonstop since April, selling out arenas across continents, and he chose to close it all out with a major moment in Sydney.
During the second of two shows in the city, Kendrick brought out longtime collaborator and close friend ScHoolboy Q. While Q and Doechii served as supporting acts throughout the Australia dates, fans didn’t expect Kendrick to bring Q back onstage for a full-circle performance of their 2013 hit “Collard Greens.” The crowd immediately erupted, bouncing in unison as the duo delivered the track that helped cement Q’s early stardom. Though it was the only joint record of the night, the reunion carried weight for both artists and fans.

The appearance felt like the perfect snapshot of what the Grand National Tour aimed to deliver; fulfillment through music, nostalgia, and celebration. The tour was applauded for its production value, but its impact extended far beyond the show itself.
Financially, Kendrick’s run will go down in history. As of November, the Grand National Tour pulled in $332.1 million, making it the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time. It surpasses the previous record held by Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour, which earned $321 million. Kendrick also set another benchmark by achieving the highest-grossing single show in hip-hop history with $9.124 million.
With all 47 shows now complete, the final tally is expected to rise even higher once the remaining dates are fully accounted for. For Kendrick, the tour was more than a commercial success; it marked a triumphant chapter and a defining moment in his three-decade career.
