Kendrick Lamar and SZA continue their dominance of the Billboard Hot 100 as “Luther” stays at No. 1 for a tenth consecutive week. The pair made history as the first solo male and female artists to lead the chart together for ten weeks, surpassing the nine-week run of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross’s “Endless Love” from 1981. “Luther” becomes just the 47th song in Hot 100 history to reach the 10-week mark at the top—a milestone achieved by only 4% of chart-toppers. This past week, the track drew 68.4 million radio impressions, 21.9 million streams, and sold another 2,000 copies. Though radio airplay is still growing, streaming numbers are beginning to decline slightly since its November release.
Elsewhere on the chart, Drake’s “Nokia” slipped one spot from No. 3 to No. 4 after previously peaking at No. 2. Meanwhile, Kendrick continues to set records beyond the charts. His and SZA’s Grand National Tour opened in Minneapolis, where he broke Eminem’s record for the highest-grossing rap concert ever. The show grossed over $9.1 million from more than 47,000 fans, with an average ticket price of $192.70. This marked the first rap concert to surpass the $9 million mark and was also the most attended non-festival show for both Kendrick and SZA.
