Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration “Luther” has officially crossed one billion streams on Spotify, according to HipHopDX. Released in November on Lamar’s album GNX, the track has become the fastest in platform history to reach the milestone. The previous record was also held by Lamar with his 2024 diss track “Not Like Us.”
“Luther” is now Lamar’s eleventh song to cross the one billion stream mark, joining tracks like “All the Stars,” “Humble,” and “Money Trees.” In addition to its streaming success, “Luther” spent 13 consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The two artists are currently on the Grand National Tour, co-headlining a run of shows that began in April across North America. With international dates approaching in July, the tour will wrap up in Stockholm, Sweden, this August.
At the tour’s final North American stop, SZA took a moment on stage to express her appreciation for Lamar, saying, “He put me onto the biggest moment of my life… I’m so thankful, and I’m so thankful to y’all.”
Lamar also acknowledged SZA at the BET Awards earlier this month while accepting Album of the Year. “SZA in the crowd, we on tour right now, please come to the show… I appreciate y’all,” he said. That night, he also took home Best Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, and Video Director of the Year.
