Kendrick Lamar is expanding his upcoming run of Australian shows, adding second stadium dates in both Melbourne and Sydney for his 2025 Grand National Tour.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper will now perform two nights at Melbourne’s AAMI Park (Dec. 3 and Dec. 4) and Sydney’s Allianz Stadium (Dec. 10 and Dec. 11), according to Live Nation. The additional dates will feature U.S. artist Doechii as support, while original opener ScHoolboy Q will remain on the bill for the first night in each city.
These shows mark Lamar’s first visit to Australia since 2022’s The Big Steppers Tour. Unlike his current North American tour with SZA, the Australian leg will see Lamar headlining solo with different opening acts.
The announcement follows a strong start to 2025 for Lamar, whose track “Not Like Us” has become the longest-running No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song also topped Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart for multiple weeks. Lamar currently has three songs in the ARIA Top 10: “Not Like Us,” “Luther,” and “All the Stars.”
Interest in Lamar’s return has grown thanks to his consistent chart performance and a sold-out run across North America and Europe. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Lamar took home five trophies, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Not Like Us.” He also delivered a widely praised performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The Australian dates follow an international stretch of shows across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia in September and October, alongside festival appearances. Lamar and Doechii will also appear at this year’s Spilt Milk Festival in Canberra, Ballarat, Perth, and the Gold Coast in late November and early December.
Presented by Live Nation and pgLang, the Grand National Tour combines high-level production, political themes, and immersive visuals.
Tickets for the new shows go on general sale Monday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. AEST for Melbourne and 2 p.m. AEST for Sydney at grandnationaltour.com. A Vodafone pre-sale opens Thursday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. (Melbourne) and 12 p.m. (Sydney).
