Despite being found guilty on numerous counts, Tory Lanez continues to receive support from some of his well-known acquaintances.
Kylie Jenner may be seen dancing in her car to what appears to be an unreleased song from the Canadian rapper/singer in a TikTok video that was uploaded on Friday, June 16.
She didn’t mention the song’s title or the date of its release, but it had lines like “You only have the time of your life when I’m not around.”
Even though the Megan Thee Stallion case’s sentencing has been delayed yet again, Tory Lanez is still unable to escape the reach of the long arm of the law despite receiving the highly sought-after Kardashian endorsement for promotional purposes.
According to reporter Meghann Cuniff, the disgraced rapper’s sentence on Tuesday (June 13) was postponed at the last minute at the request of the rapper’s legal counsel, who now has until August 1 to present a sentencing recommendation before a new sentencing date of August 7.
Cuniff further stated that Lanez did make a brief court appearance while wearing a black cap and an orange jumpsuit.
Cuniff shared a video of her conversation with Deputy District Attorney Alex Bott, saying that when asked about Megan Thee Stallion after court, Bott stated, “We just appreciate her being as strong as she is, and this is going to be over very soon.”
The new information follows the denial of Tory Lanez’s request to have Judge Herriford removed from the case. HipHopDX was able to receive a copy of the order striking the statement of disqualification, which was formally served on all parties, including Lanez and his counsel, on June 8 despite being filed on May 9.
There were “no facts or circumstances which would require my disqualification or recusal in this case,” according to Judge David Herriford.
Lanez’s sentencing date has now been postponed three times. When Megan was shot in the foot during a drunken argument in the Hollywood Hills in July 2020, the trial was initially scheduled for January 2, or about a month after he was found guilty of the crime. However, because Lanez had a new attorney, the judge postponed the sentencing until February 28.
The date was delayed even further when February 28 rolled around because the Canadian rapper submitted a motion for a new trial, which was ultimately rejected.
