Ye, formerly Kanye West, is stepping into a new creative role as director with his upcoming film Vultures The Movie. The rapper initially teased the first edition of the project by releasing a one-minute trailer on January 10.
The black-and-white trailer appeared to be entirely AI-generated, with words like “Thrilling,” “Chilling,” “Sensoramic,” and “Vulgar” flashing across the screen to hint at the film’s intense tone. Set to The Blues Brothers theme song, it reportedly featured AI-rendered versions of Ye, Ty Dolla $ign, and collaborators like Kodak Black, Rich The Kid, and Playboi Carti in dramatic scenes, including gunfire.
However, the trailer has since been removed from Ye’s social media, leaving fans wondering about the film’s next updates. Despite this, Vultures The Movie is still expected to arrive in 2025. It aligns with Ye’s recent focus on AI-driven visuals, as seen in music videos for Vultures tracks like “Bomb” and “530,” which share a similar aesthetic and storyline.
Ye is gearing up for a packed year, having recently celebrated his wife Bianca Censori’s 30th birthday in the Maldives. In addition to the film, he’s teasing a new solo album titled Bully, his first since 2021’s Donda. The project already has cover art, and snippets have surfaced online.2024 marked a successful year for Ye, with the Vultures album topping the Billboard 200 and the Grammy-nominated single “Carnival” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans await further updates on the movie and album.
