Kanye West has recently hinted at the possibility of officially releasing his long-shelved album YANDHI. During a livestream, he stated, “We gotta release YANDHI,” as captured in a clip shared by NFR Podcast. However, he did not provide any timeline for when or if the album might actually come out. Originally scheduled for release in 2018, YANDHI faced multiple delays and was later reworked into the 2019 album Jesus Is King. Over the years, many tracks associated with YANDHI have leaked online or been heard in some form, leading many longtime fans to suggest that it may be best left unreleased unless it appears in its original form.
Reaction to West’s mention of YANDHI has been mixed. Some listeners have expressed concern that releasing the album now, especially if altered or updated, might do more harm than good to its legacy. Others have voiced frustration over the idea of revisiting an unfinished project after so much time has passed, particularly in light of West’s unpredictable recent behavior and output.
Beyond YANDHI, West has been promoting other potential releases. He has recently spoken about an album titled WW3, which he has since renamed CUCK. No official release date has been announced. Additionally, West has said that his solo album BULLY is expected to arrive in June. If released as planned, it would mark his first solo project since 2021’s Donda.
These announcements follow his collaborative albums Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 with Ty Dolla Sign. A third Vultures album had been expected, but West stated last month that it is no longer happening due to a falling out with Ty. West shared that they are no longer speaking, though no official reason has been confirmed. However, many believe the rift may be related to West’s controversial behavior on social media, including offensive posts, inflammatory accusations, and public disputes. According to DJ Akademiks, Ty’s label had threatened to cut ties with him if he continued to work with West.
