During his recent performance in China, Kanye West surprised fans by announcing that he has new music on the way. The Chicago rapper revealed he’s working on a solo album titled Bully. While the release date remains unclear, Ye gave the audience a sneak peek by playing a track from the album called “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.”
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some fans are eager to hear what Ye has been working on, while others have lower expectations. Additionally, many are wondering how this new project will impact the next volume of Vultures with Ty Dolla Sign.
Ye’s news about Bully didn’t come entirely out of nowhere. Earlier this month, leaked text messages between Kanye and producer Digital Nas hinted that he was in full creative mode. In the messages, Digital Nas praised the music Ye shared, calling it “f*cking insane” and urging him to get it onto streaming platforms. Kanye responded by saying he was going into his “full Ye art studio mode.”
Outside of music, Kanye recently made headlines for selling his Malibu mansion. The property, which he once planned to turn into a bomb shelter, was sold for $21 million to Belwood Investments, a real estate crowdfunding firm. Ye originally purchased the oceanfront mansion in 2021 for around $57.3 million.
