Despite Juice WRLD’s demise over four years ago, his music has endured, and he has now accomplished a crucial milestone with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The rapper from Legends Never Die has already sold more than 100 million RIAA-certified units, according to Chart Data. The late rapper’s position in the music industry can be attributed to a variety of his albums, hits, and features.
Sadly, the gifted Chicago native won’t be around to enjoy his success in the physical since he passed away in December 2019 from a drug-induced seizure.
In related news, Juice WRLD’s team is reportedly planning to paint an updated mural in memory of the late rapper after the original artwork was covered up in his hometown, as was previously reported earlier this month.
The manager of Juice, Peter Jideonwo, told TMZ that preparations are being made to paint another mural in Chicago, which was to have been painted over once it had become a local icon.
The city’s Street Sanitation Department even performed a paint test to demonstrate they weren’t the culprits, according to Jideonwo, who added that their team still doesn’t know who covered the painting.
They could even go one step farther and create a large mural that serves as both decoration and security. Also on the table is the concept of a statue.
The original artwork was created by Corey Pane in July 2020 and cost $50,000 to commission. Corey Pane received numerous requests to recreate the mural in his comment area.
Earlier this year, the rapper’s longtime buddy and label head Lil Bibby revealed that his final posthumous album was on the way.
Bibby announced on Instagram that “The Last Juice WRLD Album is in the works.” “We want the celebration/party vibe of this record! Let’s honor Juice’s life by using the emojis for prayer hands, balloons, and doves. “There should be no more crying; I want everyone who loved Juice while he was alive to join in the celebration, especially his devoted fans!”
You guys have been the best fans a musician could have, he added, “Except for the death threats to Bibby” (laughing, praying hands and heart emojis). I won’t moan, but I will just remark that this is not an easy task. Juice box and world emojis are used to say, “We miss you, we love you until the world ends.”
