Juelz Santana’s New Project Set To Drop Next Month

Juelz Santana has announced a brand-new project that he will release next month as evidence of how strongly he has returned to the music industry.

The Dipset rapper shared a video on Instagram on Friday (November 18) of him smoking a joint while sitting behind a mixing desk in a recording studio as a new song by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie played in the background.

The song, in which the Bronx crooner samples 50 Cent’s “Many Men,” is scheduled to be released this coming week, with the whole album following in December.

“FRIENDLY!!! Dropping Next Week’s MOTION!! Mixtape Dropping Next MONTH… Let’s Go #ICFMF #WeInMotion #BackOutSide, “Juelz Santana wrote in his caption.

The statement from Juelz was well-received by his devoted fans. One admirer commented in the comments area, “Bruh I’m pleased u rapping again,” and another, “I ain’t going to lie bro it’s about time.”

Over the past year, Juelz Santana has restarted his music career. He joined Lil Wayne, Migos, and DJ Khaled on fellow Diplomat Jim Jones’ “We Set the Trends (Remix)” in April, and then in August, after being tasked by Funkmaster Flex to put out new music, he released a new song with Benny The Butcher.

The Harlem native has hinted at a collaboration with Lil Durk in addition to working independently in the studio with Chief Keef and Lil Wayne.

Juelz and Weezy’s rekindled relationship has revived interest in their long-rumored mixtape, I Can’t Feel My Face. Santana recently attributed the project’s delayed release to “politics” in an interview with VladTV.

“We didn’t get to put the album out on a major label because there was too much politics at the time,” he explained. “You had Def Jam, Universal, Cash Money, and Diplomats. Four different entities that had to come upon an agreement and come under one accord to push a project.”

He added: “It was way bigger than us. We didn’t have the end-all control. See, now it’s a lot less. That’s why you can have a Durk and Lil Baby, you can have Drake and Future.”

Juelz Santana made a suggestion that the long-awaited project would yet be released this summer while chatting with TMZ.

“All I’ma say is, Wayne is my brother,” he said. “We are not working on music outside of each other, as well as together, so for us to do a I Can’t Feel My Face project is definitely not unlikely to happen.”

#FREESANTANA, Juelz Santana’s final solo album, was released in March 2020 while the rapper was serving a 27-month sentence for drug and gun-related offenses. Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Jim Jones, Dave East, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Jeremih made appearances on it.
