For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, JORDANLUCA embarked on a buoyant journey centered around a symbol of optimism: the balloon. Designers Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto saw the inflated object as a representation of hope, with its vibrant colors evoking sentiments of gatherings, childhood, and unguarded happiness. This theme was prevalent at Milan Fashion Week, where 1,500 balloons designed by artist Dominic Myatt adorned the runway.
Inspired by a quote from Chuck Palahniuk, the collection embraced the concept that after breakable things are broken, everyone can relax. The impermanence of balloons and the significance of time became focal points for Bowen and Marchetto. They created the “Carousel of Chaos Dress,” a dress made from 37 continuous meters of fabric, symbolizing the carousel of time.

The Bulldog Bomber exuded a determined demeanor, conveying a statement of purposeful haste for the modern world. The double-collared Clover Shirt, a fusion of British Savile Row and Italian tailoring, offered a subversive take on formalwear. The Kilt Trousers paid homage to tradition, reimagining the brand’s staple in the form of a cheerful suit pant. The Monolith Coat featured bold shoulders and a business-savvy attitude, while the Parka Jacket adopted Brutalist pattern cutting and pockets as lapels.

JORDANLUCA aimed to convey hope through a careful subversion of classic styles. Much like a balloon, the brand deconstructed and reconstructed everyday fashion essentials, capturing the spirit of today’s zeitgeist.
