JAY-Z was a “influencer” before the term had any meaning, and he recently leveraged his celebrity to give a Chicago soul food restaurant that was just starting out a huge boost in revenue.
As reported by CBS News Chicago, while his wife, Beyoncé, was performing in town last weekend, Hov developed a craving for some short ribs and pound cake. He had heard about the Bronzeville Soul restaurant from a friend and had made the decision to stop by, which shocked proprietor Mario Coleman.
I was shocked to see him. Actually, I didn’t recognize him at first when I saw him. I initially believed it was someone else impersonating Jay-Z,” he stated.
JAY-Z awarded the restaurant his personal seal of approval after allegedly enjoying the dinner and enjoying it even more when he learned that Bronzeville Soul was run by Black people.
“His actual words to me were that once he looked us up and saw it was a Black business, he did tell me he wanted to support Black businesses, and he said, that’s why I’m here,” said Coleman. The cuisine is good, he claimed.
The restaurant said that Jigga’s visit had given it a welcome boost in sales, something the establishment seemed to need following a difficult “up and down” year.
Coleman stated, “We went through a lot of adjustments, but everything worked out well for everyone. “We’re content. Coleman stated, according to Block Chicago Club, “We want it to be better, of course, but we are happy that it isn’t killing us to the point where we think like, “We ain’t gonna make it.”
Although Boosie Badazz recently asserted that he receives more respect than the Hip Hop billionaire in the south, JAY-Z may be well-liked in Chicago.
Boosie started a contentious discussion on social media on Tuesday (July 25) by sharing a screenshot of a tweet that said: “Nobody from the South has Jay-Z ahead of Boosie on their All-Time list.”
By saying in his Instagram caption, “I FUCK WITH JIGGA BUT THIS FACTS!!,” Boosie added his support to the assertive statement. DO NOT PUT HOV OVER BADAZZ ON THE STREET N-GGAS IN THE SOUTH.
