JAY-Z is rumored to be working on new music, with Cash Cobain suggesting at Billboard Unfiltered Live that the rap icon has material that will “shake the world.” Cobain did not confirm whether he has collaborated with Jay or provided further details.
This is not the first time speculation has surfaced. Memphis Bleek recently hinted on Drink Champs that Jay is back in the studio, recalling a conversation where Jay promised him a verse. If released, it would mark Jay’s first solo project since 2017’s 4:44.
Away from music, Jay has been engaged in legal disputes following dropped allegations against him and Diddy. After the suit was dismissed due to inconsistencies, Jay filed a defamation case against the accuser and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, claiming significant financial harm.
According to filings, Jay lost contracts worth at least $20 million, was denied a $55 million credit line, and Roc Nation was refused a $115 million loan. The lawsuit also states that false allegations risked damaging partnerships tied to major sporting events.
