At Michael Rubin’s star-studded Fourth of July party in the Hamptons earlier this week, JAY-Z didn’t hold back with his wrist game.
Chad Alexander, a seasoned pocket-watcher and watch expert, claims that Hov flaunted a rare Patek Philippe watch that is worth more over $7 million.
Jay-Z wore his vintage yellow gold Patek Philippe reference 2499, according to Alexander, who shared images from the event in a TikTok video. “One of these in rose gold recently brought $7.7 million at auction.”
According to Hypebeast, the auction he’s referring to was held at Sotheby’s Hong Kong in April 2022, when another colorway of the expensive watch was sold.
Lil Baby wore a silver “Bubba Watson” Richard Mille watch, which costs approximately $350,000, while DJ Khaled wore an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, which costs around $450,000. There was no shortage of opulent wristwear at Michael Rubin’s celebration.
The Fanatics CEO’s all-white party, which took place on July 3 at a mansion in the Hamptons, attracted celebrities and dignitaries from the business, sports, and entertainment worlds.
Travis Scott, Beyoncé, Quavo, Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Kelly Rowland, Coi Leray, Fabolous, Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Bieber all arrived in their respective vehicles on the music front.
Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Lala Anthony, Lori Harvey, Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, and Winnie Harlow were among the models on the guest list.
To commemorate the occasion and celebrate America’s birthday a day early, even retired NFL star Tom Brady flew in. James Harden and Devin Booker, two NBA players, were seen hanging out with him. Additionally, pictures of actor Leonardo DiCaprio appeared.
As night fell, unplanned performances by Usher and Ne-Yo took place on stage, as Travis, Harlow, and comic Druski alternated in the DJ booth.
“My liver might take a full year to recover. Amazing night with amazing people! ps excellent news, no severe injuries this year, we didn’t require the medical tent this year,” Rubin captioned his Instagram slideshow after the celebration.
