This weekend, JAY-Z will perform “GOD DID” on stage with DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, John Legend, and Fridayy at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Just two days before the concert, on Friday, February 3, Variety confirmed the Roc Nation mogul’s attendance. This year, “GOD DID” is nominated for three prizes, including song of the year.
The 65th annual event, which will be place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 5, will be emceed by Trevor Noah. Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Lizzo, Steve Lacy, Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Kim Petras, and Lizzo have all been confirmed as performers in addition to the names mentioned above.
At the concert, Quavo will also pay tribute to TakeOff. The Migos rapper will sing his moving ode to his nephew, “Without You,” alongside the Maverick City Music choir, the Recording Academy announced on Wednesday, February 1.
Quavo’s first release since TakeOff’s passing was the song, which also includes Vory and was produced by Zaytoven, Murda Beatz, Mike Dean, and others. It was made available on January 4.
The Recording Academy Honors Presented on Thursday, February 2, where Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, and Sylvia Rhone were also honored, was in full swing when Khaled presented Wayne with the Global Impact Award.
