The 2025 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on May 26, Memorial Day. The event will air at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream on Paramount+. Jennifer Lopez has been confirmed as the host for this year’s ceremony.
Janet Jackson is set to receive the Icon Award during the broadcast. The award is not presented annually and has only been given out twice before—first to Rihanna in 2013 and later to Lionel Richie in 2022.
In addition to receiving the award, Jackson will also perform, marking her first televised performance since 2018. Her appearance follows recent public appreciation from Lizzo, who highlighted Jackson’s long-standing influence in pop music, noting her early contributions and the impact she had on later artists.
No additional performers or presenters have been announced yet, but more details are expected in the days leading up to the show.
