Janet Jackson Adds More Dates To Her Tour With Ludacris In 2023

Several additional dates have been added as a result of strong ticket sales.

Live Nation announced on Thursday (December 15) that the Together Again North American Tour has added a second performance at Madison Square Garden in addition to new dates in Atlanta, Hollywood, Florida, and Allentown, Pennsylvania.

“Thank u guys for showing this tour so much love. Because of you, we had to add some more dates,” Janet said of the additional shows on Twitter.

The show’s pre-sales for Citi cardholders and fan club members began less than two days ago, and general ticket sales are scheduled to begin on Friday (December 16).

The 37-city tour falls in sync with several milestones in Janet Jackson’s career, including the 30th anniversary of the release of “Janet,”  the 15th anniversary of “Discipline,” and the 50th anniversary of the start of her entertainment career. Additionally, the 56-year-old Grammy winner acknowledged that new music is in the works, will be released, and will be performed live.

“Yes, there will be new music,” she said in a video posted to Instagram about the tour. “I know all of you, ‘Where’s the new music?’ “There will be new music, and my special guest will be Ludacris.”

There were rumors that a biopic based on the iconic singer’s life and times was in the works for 2020. The Jasmine Brand claimed that casting had started but had been put on hold because of COVID-19, suggesting that the movie may still be in the works.

COVID also interfered with Janet Jackson’s earlier tour preparations because she had just one month before the global pandemic released a now-canceled album called Black Diamond and a supporting tour of the same name.

“Black diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut.” “I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy,” Janet said at the time of the February 2020 announcement. “There is a lot that I have endured.” I see myself as a black diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock; I have rough edges, but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”

On Friday at 11 a.m. local time, tickets for 2023 Together Again North American Tour will go on sale.
