Jamie Foxx Covid-19 Rumor ‘completely Inaccurate,’ Says Spokesperson

A spokeswoman for Jamie Foxx has stated that the Oscar-winning actor did not have a “vaccine injury” from COVID-19, putting the allegations to bed for and for all.

The multi-hyphenate’s anonymous representative made it clear in an email to NBC News on Wednesday (June 7) that the allegations regarding his purported COVID-19 vaccine injury are “completely inaccurate.”

The representation made it plain that recent rumors about Jamie Foxx being “partially paralyzed and blind” were completely untrue, even though he did not go into greater detail about the condition his client was being treated for in the hospital.

The far-right provocateur Charlie Kirk originally made the claim, which later gained traction on social media after being discussed on a podcast by A.J. Benza and Dr. Drew Pinksy. Foxx apparently experienced a blood clot stroke after being forced to receive the COVID vaccine, according to Benza, who claimed to have a source “in the room” with Foxx at the time.

Blood clots can be a side effect of COVID-19, according to the Yale University School of Medicine, and those who choose to receive the Johnson & Johnson version of the COVID-19 vaccine run a very low risk of developing a blood clot. Nevertheless, the CDC acknowledged that “vaccine injury” is incredibly uncommon, happening in only five out of every million administered immunizations.

Jamie Foxx’s agents had already had to refute unfounded allegations made about the actor, who was admitted to the hospital for an unexplained “medical complication” back in April.

His daughter Corrine had to use Instagram last month to address unfounded reports regarding her father’s health and made it plain that any information that wasn’t provided by the Foxx family should be disregarded.

“Family update: It’s sad to watch how the media is out of control. My Dad has been recovering at home for several weeks,” she stated. In fact, yesterday he played pickleball! I appreciate the prayers and help of everyone.

Since Corinne disclosed that Foxx was hospitalized for an unidentified medical issue on April 12 while in Atlanta working for Netflix’s Back in Action, there have been numerous contradicting claims regarding the Academy Award winner.

A source close to the actor/singer told PEOPLE more than a week later that he was “awake and alert.”

Thank God, the insider said, “He’s OK.” He is still in the hospital, where tests are being performed, but he is awake and conscious. He is being watched over by them.

After spending a few weeks in the hospital and getting support from friends and followers, the actor/singer posted a message to fans on Instagram last month. Thank you for the love, everyone! Foxx posted on Instagram, “Feeling blessed.
