Jack Harlow Names Kanye West, Outkast & More Among Top 5 Favorite Rap Albums

Kanye West, OutKast, and other artists are mentioned by Jack Harlow in his hip-hop album Mount Rushmore.

The Louisville rapper named Ye, Drake, OutKast, and JAY-Z as some of his all-time favorite artists in a lengthy interview with Rap Radar.

At the halfway point, Harlow uttered, “Late Registration, Aquemini, Nothing Was The Same.” “Do you know what album I adore? I adore Blueprint. The Cool Kids’ song When Fish Ride Bicycles is one of my favorites. I get all the tempo and bounce I want from Cool Kids.

Harlow continued in the interview by saying that current G.O.A.T. contenders like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole now sound almost “nostalgic” since they reflect a time in Hip Hop when “things were a little better.”

At the 48-minute mark, Harlow stated that “what people want is changing, what the youth wants is changing, and it’s almost like Drake, Kendrick and Cole, their voices are damn near nostalgic at this point. Since this is from a time when things were a little better, we know it’s good.

“When Drake’s voice starts playing in the club, it almost takes you back to 2012, which was a great year,” he concluded. It brings to recall 2016, which was a wonderful year. Because of what the big three have already accomplished, it almost seems like history is still being written about them. Instead of listening to current music, people often turn to classics like Forest Hills Drive or Late Registration because they know they will get good material from them.

It’s almost as if people feel that this era isn’t unique enough to be remembered for something that is everlasting or classic like the era of classic shit. It has already occurred.

While Harlow acknowledged that he was still unsure how to express his opinions on the condition of rap, he added that Drake’s double-disc album from last year will probably be considered a “classic” in the future.

Harlow remarked, “I guess what I’m saying is, I think Scorpion is going to be a classic. “I think these albums are just the way they are as time goes by,”

Harlow recently released Jackman, the follow-up to his 2022 album Come Home the Kids Miss You, which was released at the end of April. The second album by Harlow arrived at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Album.
