The wait is over for supporters following the teasers: Above Water, the new EP, is officially out now.
J. Rose announced the four-song project, in an Instagram post, captures a more personal and reflective side of J. Rose. In the announcement, J. Rose described the EP as a “vulnerable piece,” sharing that although the release felt long overdue, its arrival happened at the right time.
“This was for me,” he wrote. “When you listen, wherever you’re at, I’m with you, and I hope this project brings you comfort throughout whatever trial period you’re in.”
Above Water leans into themes of resilience, timing, and personal growth. Though compact, the project is designed to be intimate, offering listeners a sense of shared experience and support through challenging moments.
J. Rose credited several collaborators for helping bring the EP to life, including Bazz, Hawk, Pagoda Circle, and C Major on production. Visual contributions came from God Tier Entertainment and SeeFour, who handled artwork and photography for the release.
Above Water is available now on all major streaming platforms.
