J. Cole Offered Advice To Up-And-Coming Rapper Paris Bryant After Discovering His Music

Even though J. Cole is one of the most well-known figures in hip-hop, he continues to encourage emerging musicians.

When NYC rapper Paris Bryant emailed one of his heroes, Cole, he received a response from him offering guidance and wishing him well.

In a direct message on Instagram, J. Cole told Bryant, “Yoooooo, just heard your song.” I adore it. I believe I have a memo that could be useful. I also saw all of your earlier communications. Life is crazy how it works!

“I love you a lot, young brother, and I hope the best for you. Give me your phone number, and I’ll call you to convey the note I had.

“YOU RESPONDED,” Bryant retorted. I was just emailing you to see if you wanted to hear my putting pressure freestyle, but that’s wild, man. I appreciate it, but that’s so real my heart stopped. That is amazingly true to a man.

In a 2021 interview, Paris Bryant said J. Cole was his biggest inspiration and the one who inspired him to start rapping. He added that since their chat was now public, Cole had been in touch with him.

At the time, he admitted to KAZI Magazine that J. Cole had been his “biggest influence.” He genuinely inspired me to rap and do other things. It was really wonderful to have someone you look up to reach out to you, and he did that to me a few months ago.

Bryant released his most recent single “2 DOORS” earlier this month, and his most recent album, A Trip to Paris, was released through Cinematic Music Group in May 2022.

In March, J. Cole was seen listening to Ty Trilly’s new song while hanging out with another upcoming rapper in the city’s projects.
