Infinity Song Talks Family Roots, Jay-Z Meeting & Metamorphosis Complete on Broken Record.

On the latest episode of Broken Record, host Justin Richmond sat down with Infinity Song, the sibling group made up of Momo, Abraham, Angel, and Israel Boyd, for a live conversation at the Tribeca Festival in New York.

The discussion traced the group’s beginnings and the role music has always played in their household. Growing up between Detroit and New York, the Boyd siblings refined their sound wherever they found space: church services, subway platforms, city parks, and family gatherings. Guided by their father and manager John Boyd, those years of practice eventually led them to major stages and a partnership with Roc Nation.

Infinity Song has built a reputation on a blend of R&B and folk that the group describes as modern-day soft rock. Richmond spoke with the siblings about how that style took shape, their dedication to family-based artistry, and the unique chemistry that comes with performing together.

The conversation also revisited a pivotal moment early in their career: a high-stakes meeting with Jay-Z where their father stepped in to make sure the group’s talent was fully recognized. That meeting ultimately led to their signing with Roc Nation.

In addition to the interview, Infinity Song performed songs from their latest album, Metamorphosis Complete, giving the Tribeca Festival audience an inside look at the project’s live sound.

The episode continues Broken Record’s exploration of artists’ creative journeys, this time focusing on a group carrying forward the legacy of family-based bands while carving out their own space in contemporary music.
