The fact that Drake and 21 Savage’s joint album Her Loss is still receiving strong streaming figures has added another accomplishment to their résumés.
Her Loss has received more than one billion Spotify streams since its November 4 release, according to a statement from Spotify on Monday (December 26). According to the news, 21 Savage’s album is the first to receive one billion streams on the service; Drake, who has now achieved the feat with 12 straight albums, retains the record.
Her Loss has the third-highest opening week in music this year after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 404,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Her Loss, the 12th and third No. 1 albums for Drake and 21 Savage, respectively, racked up 514 million on-demand streams.
The album was propelled by a number of songs like “On BS” and “Privileged Rappers” that also had mock live performance visuals. The Her Loss duo also released a DIY music video for the album’s lead single, “Rich Flex,” which increased interest in the album.
