De La Soul has announced that starting in 2023, their complete catalog will be made accessible via streaming platforms.
On Tuesday, January 3, the venerable Hip Hop group made an update on their website and social media accounts. The group posted a video of a massive Times Square billboard in cooperation with Amazon Music that read: “Alexa, what’s the magic number?” on Instagram and Twitter.
De La’s first six albums, 3 Feet High and Rising, De La Soul Is Dead, Buhloone Mindstate, Stakes Is High, Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump, and AOI: Bionix, will make their streaming debut on March 3 alongside the rest of their discography, following a protracted delay and legal dispute.
The group’s 1989 hit “The Magic Number” will be published on Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, and other streaming services on January 13. Fans can anticipate an early appetizer this month.
“We can’t believe this day is finally here, and we are excited to be able to share our music with fans, old and new,” the trio said in a statement.
