In 2023, 50 Cent plans to make his mark on the rap scene with the release of new songs and a flurry of projects from his ever growing film and television business.
The head of G-Unit celebrated his close friend Eminem’s ongoing success on Instagram on Sunday, January 1. According to reports, the Detroit rap legend amassed over five billion views on YouTube in 2022, making him the most famous rapper on the platform at the time.
In an effort to show the world that he, too, still has it, 50 suggested in his caption that he will release new music, TV series, and movies in the coming year.
“That’s my Boy,” he wrote next to a headline about Em’s YouTube dominance. “Im gonna remind people i’m nice this year. New Music New Tv New movie let’s go! #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
When it came to YouTube streaming in 2022, 50 Cent wasn’t exactly a slouch either. With an impressive 1.8 billion views, the Queens, New York native was reportedly among the top 10 rap artists on the platform despite having only released two songs in 2017: the Power Book IV theme song “Power Powder Respect” with Lil Durk and Jeremih and the recently discovered Eminem collaboration “Is This Love (’09).”
