Ice Spice teased a new single on social media Thursday, previewing a track that reimagines M.I.A.’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.” The Bronx rapper posted a short clip of herself dancing to the song while wearing jean shorts, a red leather jacket, and strappy blue heels.
In the teaser, Ice Spice raps, “They said they wanted a bop, I was just poppin’ my sh–/ I ain’t even really mean to go pop/ He was just begging to hit, I don’t be giving you n—as a shot.” Fans have noted the repeated line “baddie, baddie,” leading many to speculate that it could serve as the title of the upcoming single.
The Instagram post drew responses from notable figures, including boyfriend Sauce Gardner, as well as Kali Uchis, Kehlani, Cash Cobain, and Soulja Boy.
Ice Spice has had a relatively quiet 2025 musically. She has not yet released a solo single but appeared on KATSEYE’s “Gnarly” remix in June. Outside music, she made her feature film debut in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, currently showing in U.S. theaters, and is set to make her voice-acting debut in The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants, contributing a new song for the December release.
