The music video for Ice Spice’s upcoming single, “Deli,” which she was recently seen filming on the streets of New York City, is about to be released.
The unreleased song was playing in the background as the 23-year-old danced in front of a camera team in Harlem on Saturday (July 15). Many onlookers caught her dancing in the streets while she was in the public eye.
Photographer Badmon shared images of the “Munch” rapper arriving and interacting with onlookers. The weekend was also captured on camera by celebrity fashion designer freshmadeit, who captioned it: “Yesterday on set of @icespice new video “deli” [100 emoji, fire emoji, camera emoji].”
One of Hip Hop’s top up-and-coming artists right now, Ice Spice has a long list of A-listers clamoring to collaborate with her. To further emphasize the point, Nicki Minaj recently revealed information regarding how the two came to collaborate on “Barbie World.”
The “Starships” rapper revealed the details of how the partnership came to be during the world premiere of Barbie in Los Angeles at the beginning of July.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nicki admitted that she had a wide selection of tracks to choose from before settling on one. “There were a couple songs that I didn’t love,” she said.
“I adored this ‘Barbie’ sample. I simply wanted a badass drum, therefore I was thrilled to receive the one they sent! And I got right on it,” she continued, referring to the RiotUSA-produced song that was built around Aqua’s popular single “Barbie Girl” from 1997.
In addition, the rapper from Young Money described being a part of the Barbie soundtrack as a “very full-circle moment,” noting that she had “been saying ‘Barbie’ my whole career.”
Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice collaborated last month on their eagerly awaited collaboration tune for the movie’s soundtrack. The song made its Billboard Hot 100 debut at No. 7, giving Nicki her 23rd top-10 hit and Ice her fourth.
