Ice Spice embraced Japanese pop culture on Halloween, performing in a full Sailor Moon costume during her headlining appearance at Verdy’s Harajuku Horror Night in Tokyo. The annual event took place across Spotify O-East and Azumaya in Shibuya, drawing one of Japan’s most fashion-driven Halloween crowds. Curated by Verdy — the designer behind Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth — the night is known for elaborate costumes and a focus on creativity and street culture.
This year’s edition featured a collaboration with Kyun Desu, a key collective in Tokyo’s hyperpop scene, and a lineup highlighted by Ice Spice. She honored the iconic anime character Sailor Moon, the magical heroine from Naoko Takeuchi’s 1990s series. Dressed in a glittering blue-and-white outfit with a red bow and knee-high boots, she brought the character to life while merging Bronx energy with Harajuku flair.

Verdy also appeared in costume, contributing to the event’s immersive environment. Harajuku Horror Night remains a standout Halloween celebration in Tokyo, and Ice Spice’s performance added another moment to its reputation as a meeting point for global music, fashion, and anime culture.
