Playboi Carti has placed billboards in multiple cities, suggesting that a new album is on the way. Some of the billboards include messages acknowledging past delays, adding to speculation about an upcoming release.
On Friday, rapper Hitta J3 tweeted, “New Carti bout 2 drop,” which reinforced the possibility of an album announcement. Fans have reacted differently to the news—some believe a release is finally happening, while others remain skeptical due to previous delays.
Hitta J3 and Playboi Carti have a known friendship, and Carti has interacted with Hitta’s posts in the past. In addition to Hitta’s tweet, Spotify has sponsored billboards featuring possible tracklist titles, further supporting the idea that new music is coming.
Polymarket, a prediction platform, currently estimates a 65% chance that Carti’s album, I AM MUSIC, will be released by June 1st. However, the probability was initially 73% but dropped after the appearance of the apology billboard. While nothing is officially confirmed, recent signs suggest that a release could happen soon.
