Halle Bailey has officially revealed plans for her debut solo album, Love? Or Something Like It, arriving October 24 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records.
The announcement came Wednesday (Oct. 8), with Bailey describing the project as “a story of first love, heartbreak, and everything that comes after.” The singer and actress shared that the album holds deep personal meaning, marking her evolution beyond her work with her sister Chlöe.
In a 38-second teaser video, Bailey appears in a red tulle gown, narrating the emotional beginning of the album’s concept. “Once upon a time, there was a young girl that believed in love. She believed everyone belonged to someone, soul for soul. All she ever wanted in life was to find the truest form of love. Was it ever possible? And here’s what happened,” she says over cinematic music.
Leading up to the album, Bailey released two solo singles in 2025, “Back and Forth” and “Braveface.” She also appeared alongside Leon Thomas on “Rather Be Alone” from the deluxe edition of his album Mutt.
Before her solo venture, Bailey and her sister found success as Chloe x Halle, releasing The Kids Are Alright (2018) and Ungodly Hour (2020). Both projects earned Grammy nominations, with Ungodly Hour peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and solidifying the duo as major forces in R&B.
Fans can now pre-save Love? Or Something Like It ahead of its October release.
