Haitian Entrepreneur Marcus Boereau Begins Construction on $30 Million Residential Project in Punta Cana.

Haitian entrepreneur Marcus Boereau has officially broken ground on TAMAN, a $30 million luxury real estate development in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The project includes 144 upscale apartments and is the first residential development in La Rinconada to begin construction after securing all necessary permits. Inspired by the aesthetics of Bali, TAMAN aims to combine wellness, sustainability, and refined design in a growing tourist and resort region.

Construction is being led by the Dominican firm Verges & Asociados (VAC), with technical oversight by ASPECT. A leading national insurer will provide risk coverage throughout the project. An international hospitality company is expected to be announced soon to manage the complex, which is intended to increase long-term value for investors. During the building process, TAMAN will also host select experiences for future residents and partners to introduce them to the project’s concept and environment.

Marcus Boereau, 36, is the founder and CEO of IMAR Ventures. Born in Port-au-Prince, he has experience in international business and investment projects across the Caribbean and Latin America. He speaks eight languages: Kweyol, French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Mainland Mandarin, and Taiwanese Mandarin.
