Haasan Barclay, a recording artist and event producer based in Boston, has entered the Beats On The Beach Boston competition with a beat built on sounds captured directly from the shoreline.
Barclay announced his submission via Instagram, posting a video of himself playing guitar over the beat, which incorporates ocean, beach, and boat recordings. The samples were sourced by deevodagenius and made available as part of the official sample pack for the competition.
“Enjoy this beat I created with ocean, beach and boat sounds sourced by @deevodagenius for the @BeatsOnTheBeachBoston competition,” Barclay wrote in the caption, encouraging others to participate: “Grab the samples at the link in BOTB’s bio and enter now to win cash.”
The competition, promoted through the @BeatsOnTheBeachBoston platform, invites producers to craft beats using the provided field recordings. Winners will be eligible for cash prizes.
Submissions are currently open till 30th of June, 2025.
