On the heels of releasing his The Last Wun album, Gunna has confirmed that a joint project with Offset is currently in progress.
The announcement came during his Apple Music Live celebration in Los Angeles on September 22, where he sat down with Ebro Darden. When asked about the possibility of a full collaboration, Gunna responded directly: “Definitely. Yes, it’s in the works. But I, like, we spacing it out. You know, he dropped his album, I dropped my album. I was on his, he was on mine. And I feel like that was sprinkles and breadcrumbs for us to give you that meal soon.”
Rumors of a Gunna and Offset joint album first surfaced last year. In October, Offset previewed snippets of tracks featuring both artists on Instagram Live, and in February, he hinted at the project again during an exchange with a fan on X. Their onstage chemistry was also on display in June when they performed together at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash at State Farm Arena.
The two rappers continued to trade verses on their recent solo albums. Offset appeared on Gunna’s The Last Wun track “At My Purest,” while Gunna featured on Offset’s Kiari cut “Different Species.” Their past collaborations include songs such as “Prada Dem,” “Style Rare,” “Beat the Case,” and “Wild Wild West.”
Gunna’s The Last Wun marks his sixth solo album and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 album-equivalent units earned in its opening week.
