Gunna Resurfaces With New Look At Miami Heat Vs. Boston Celtics Playoff Game

Gunna debuted his new look in Miami during an NBA playoff game earlier this week, making his first public appearance since entering a plea of not guilty in the YSL RICO case.

The native of Atlanta has kept a low profile since being controversially freed from prison in December, but it seems like things may be about to change.

Fans noticed Gunna’s slimmer figure right away when he watched Game 6 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics on Saturday night (May 27) from courtside at the Kaseya Center.

In a picture that appeared online earlier this month, the DS4Ever rapper flaunted his physical makeover, prompting some fans to compare his post-jail weight loss to Gucci Mane’s.

While watching the dramatic Eastern Conference Finals game, the 29-year-old donned flowered leggings and a black sleeveless T-shirt, showing that his fitness regimen is paying off.

With the addition of a single photo to his Instagram page, Gunna added fuel to the flames over his reappearance by changing his previous image to a hawk or crow soaring through the air.

On Saturday, Gunna and the other spectators at the Kaseya Center witnessed a classic as the Celtics, who were once down 0-3 in the series, forced a Game 7. At the final second, Derrick White made a follow-up basket to give Boston the victory and force a tie.

Since regaining his freedom, The ATLien has not released any new music, and many fans are unsure if he will still represent Young Thug’s Young Slime Life collective following his plea agreement.

He did, however, hint at his return earlier this month when he showed up on a fan page’s comments area and informed them that he was coming.

He captioned a post with the phrase “I’m OTW,” along with his distinctive blue P emoji, and a clip from an unreleased song.

The “Pushin’ P” rapper was let go from Fulton County Jail in December after entering a guilty plea to a racketeering conspiracy charge. He had been imprisoned there since May 2022.

Because of his plea, he received a five-year sentence with one year already served. According to reports, the final four years of Gunna’s sentence were “suspended” in favor of 500 hours of community service.

Earlier this year, a Gunna music link briefly appeared in Young Thug’s Instagram bio before being taken down. As for Thugger, he continues to be detained while the slow-moving YSL RICO trial is still choosing a jury.

When Gunna’s most recent album, DS4EVER, was released in January 2022, it shot to the top of the Billboard 200 chart after selling 150,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
