Gunna has announced plans to take on a new challenge in 2025 by running a marathon. In a conversation with Spotify alongside his manager, Ebony Ward, the rapper shared his goal, saying, “One of my manifestations for 2025 is running a marathon.” Ward responded by committing to run alongside him. However, Gunna has not yet revealed which marathon he plans to enter.
While focusing on fitness, Gunna continues to face lingering allegations related to his plea deal in the YSL RICO case. His attorney, Steve Sadow, recently reaffirmed that Gunna never cooperated with law enforcement, stating, “Gunna did NOT cooperate, and did NOTHING and said NOTHING to cause harm to Thug’s case.” He emphasized that Gunna’s plea deal did not impact Young Thug’s trial and that the rapper was never listed as a witness.
Sadow also highlighted Gunna’s success over the past two years, pointing out his global performances and financial achievements. Meanwhile, Young Thug, who also took a plea deal after spending 30 months in jail, received a 15-year probation sentence with restrictions, including being barred from living in Atlanta.
Despite Gunna denying any involvement in strengthening the case against Thug, their relationship appears strained. Shortly after Gunna’s release, Thug posted and later deleted a message on social media saying, “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy.” Billboard reported on the marathon announcement.
