Atlanta rapper Gunna has confirmed his next album, The Last Wun, will arrive this Friday, August 8. The project marks his sixth full-length release and will be available across streaming platforms.
According to Apple Music, The Last Wun includes 25 tracks, featuring previously released singles “Won’t Stop” and “Him All Along.” Longtime collaborator and producer Turbo is expected to have a significant role in the album’s production.
Gunna shared the news with a cinematic trailer that blends scenes from his recent fitness journey with archival footage of his early aspirations. “I want longevity in the game, to be honest,” a younger Gunna says in the clip. “I love this sh–, I love rapping.”
The album title has sparked speculation among fans that this could be Gunna’s final release under YSL Records/300 Entertainment. His relationship with YSL head Young Thug has been strained since the YSL indictment, with no public reconciliation between the two.
Gunna’s last chart-topping album was DS4EVER in 2022. Though The Last Wun has no stated theme, the rapper told Uproxx it reflects “current time of what’s happening with me.”
