Gunna has announced his first-ever Wunna Run 5K, scheduled for September 3 in New York City’s Prospect Park. The announcement follows the release of his single “Won’t Stop” from The Last Wun, whose video features Gunna training intensively for athletic performance. While the video highlighted his physical preparation, the run itself will provide a charitable and community-focused experience.
The Wunna Run 5K is organized through Gunna’s nonprofit, Gunna’s Great Giveaway, in partnership with NYCRUNS. Participants will have the opportunity to donate to causes of their choice while running the course. The route will cover just under one full loop around Prospect Park, finishing with a sprint up Center Drive.
Gunna’s Great Giveaway, based in Atlanta, is focused on uplifting communities through various initiatives. These include service projects, resource giveaways, and programs like the Guaranteed Income Program that support underserved families. Through the Wunna Run 5K, the nonprofit aims to expand its reach and provide additional opportunities for community engagement.
The event will also serve as a platform for Gunna to promote his partnership with the Flerish Hydration drink line and supplements brand Cymbiotika, combining health, wellness, and charitable giving.
This initiative continues Gunna’s ongoing commitment to wellness and community engagement. In June, he hosted a youth empowerment camp in Frisco, Texas, further highlighting his focus on supporting local communities and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
The Wunna Run 5K offers free registration, with details on start times, meetup locations, and participation available through the NYCRUNS platform. Participants and fans can join to run, donate, and support the causes aligned with Gunna’s nonprofit work.
