Grind Con 2025 Announces “Protect the Bag” Panel on Publishing, Ownership & Creator Rights.

Grind Con, Boston’s annual music and entertainment business conference, has revealed details for one of its anticipated 2025 sessions. The panel will focus on publishing, ownership, and creator rights, topics that remain at the center of today’s music industry.

The session brings together a lineup of professionals who each represent a different corner of the business. Gio Dee will be joined by C. Wellington, an entertainment lawyer recognized on Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers list and attorney for artist Shaboozey,  along with Anthony Hatwood, who oversees Artist Success (Hip-Hop & R&B) at TuneCore.

Set for October 11th at Boston’s Faneuil Hall, the panel aims to provide artists and creators with practical insights into protecting their work and securing long-term financial stability.

“Protect the Bag” is part of the broader Grind Con 2025 program, which positions itself at the intersection of music, culture, and business. The conference is designed to give independent artists, executives, and entrepreneurs direct access to education, networking, and opportunities within the industry.

The one-day event also promises a community-driven experience that extends beyond panels and discussions. Following the daytime programming, attendees will have the chance to connect at the official afterparty hosted by Kickback Boston.

Grind Con 2025 takes place on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA.
