Google's Gemini AI Now Remembers Past Conversations And Provides Summaries.

Google’s Gemini AI can now remember past conversations, allowing users to ask for summaries of previous discussions on a topic.

“No more starting over from scratch or having to search for a previous conversation thread. Plus, you can build on top of previous conversations or projects you’ve already started,” Google says.

Previously, Gemini could remember user preferences. Now, it retains entire conversations and may indicate when past chats influence its responses. Google warns that summaries may be inaccurate and advises users to verify information.

Users can review, delete, or control how long Gemini stores conversations. The MyActivity tab allows full memory deactivation.

The recall feature is currently available in English for Gemini Advanced subscribers on web and mobile. Google plans to expand it to more languages and Workspace Business and Enterprise users in the coming weeks.

Meta AI and ChatGPT offer similar capabilities. Google is also reportedly working on Project Jarvis, an AI agent designed to remember Chrome tasks and take actions, akin to Microsoft’s Recall feature.
