GloRilla said she wants to let people know that there is “a world outside of the internet” with the release of her new song, “Internet Trolls,” today.
According to Spotify, Hitkidd, whose earlier work includes the Grammy-nominated “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” produced the most recent song from GloRilla. Director Troy Roscoe was hired by GloRilla to create the song’s official video.
“People, they don’t leave their house. They don’t get off their phone. They don’t go outside and see what the real world got to offer,” GloRilla said during a chat with Eddie Francis for New Music Daily on Apple Music 1 this week. “This the song, you know what I’m saying, to let people really know it’s a world outside of the internet. … Go explore it. So much fun.”
GloRilla elaborated, saying that anyone can be reached over the internet, but it’s crucial to understand that these so-called “trolls” are frequently obsessed with self-hatred.
At this weekend’s Grammys, GloRilla is also on the lineup for the Recording Academy’s special segment celebrating 50 years of hip-hop. She’ll be joined for the LL Cool J-introduced moment by Big Boi, Missy Elliott, Future, Lil Wayne, Rakim, Scarface, and many more.
