GloRilla now has a new piece of jewelry in her collection, thanks to Yo Gotti, the head of CMG Records.
Since signing with CMG earlier this year, the rapper from Memphis has been having a lot of success. Over the weekend, Gotti sent GloRilla an icy “Big Glo” chain as a symbol of his gratitude for her dedication.
#BigGLO B!t¢H WE HONORED TO WORK WITH YOU @CmgLabel#TrustDaProcessSeeDaResults KEEP FOLLOWING HER JOURNEY… @GloTheofficial,” Gotti captioned the chaining day post.
While dancing around to the venue’s playing of her big hit “F.N.F.,” Big Glo was excited to be wearing another piece of ice around her neck. Regardless of how late it is, my CEO just iced me out. I appreciate you, Yo Gotti! “You’re the best,” she wrote on Instagram in appreciation.
GloRilla, who was previously relatively unknown, received her first Grammy nomination for “F.N.F” in the category of Best Rap Performance last week. Since then, she has amassed quite the record of victories.
“The same song they was clowning me & my friends about saying we was Ugly & Dusty just got nominated for a Grammy,” she wrote on Twitter. “WHEN GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE YOU CANNOT FAIL.”
The Cardi B-assisted “Tomorrow 2” by Glo, which is presently No. 29 on the Hot 100, has also become a staple.
The native of Memphis is preparing to start her first headlining tour, which will begin in Charlotte, North Carolina, on January 27. Then again, life is wonderful. The tour will stop in Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, New York City, and other cities before wrapping up on February 25 in Washington, D.C.
The tour is in support of her EP of the same name, which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, just one spot behind Nas’ King’s Disease III album, and is currently sitting behind rap legends.
Nas even shouted Big Glo out on the project’s closing bonus track “Til My Last Breath,” where he raps: “I’m applying pressure, I see why she prеssed (Why she pressed)/ When she with me she GloRilla, FNF (FNF)/N-A-S, I’m steppin’ ’til my last breath (My last breath, yeah).”
