Despite the fact that men don’t always feel “manly” when listening to a female rapper, GloRilla is fairly confident that she understands why they enjoy her music.
The “Tomorrow 2” rapper talked to Rolling Stone about her music in an interview that was released on Monday (June 26), and she outlined what sets it apart from the work of other female musicians.
Because they will think they are being pussy, many guys, according to GloRilla, won’t ride around listening to any women who sounds like a chick. But now that they have heard me, they are saying, “She sounds like one of us.” I say things that are inappropriate for women, but n-ggas can say them backwards.
I honestly prefer going through crap sometimes because it helps me get better at what I do, she continued.
Glo said something else about guys earlier this month. Just before Father’s Day, the Memphis native vented on Twitter about how the men she has relationships with don’t get the clue that she’s just having fun, while making sure they are aware of the situation going ahead.
Glo wrote, “I detest when I play the crazy with an N-gga & Dey take me seriously then get to thinking Dey dat N-gga or some. Like a bitch ass n-gga be coo, I was simply playing since I was bored. Like how I behave in this situation, everyone should shut up.
