GloRilla’s long-awaited remix of Latto’s popular song “Put It On Da Floor” has finally been released, and it did not dissapoint.
The accompanying video, which was released on June 22, features Big Glo in her environment. The Memphis rapper delivers some fire bars over the sizzling track produced by Go Grizzly, Squat Beats, & Ben Hogarth while flanked by her girls and decked up in jewels.
GloRilla’s rendition maintains the original song’s vigor while incorporating her own down-South flair.
Put me in a bib because I’m about to devour these women. Tell them to follow in our footsteps because they believe us.Glo raps on the single, saying, “I’ll give yo ass a chance, but I ain’t giving out no fucks/You should go check on yo friend/I took her guy, she need a hug.
GloRilla gave listeners a preview of what to expect from the “Lick Or Sum” rap artist before the song was released. But when she shared a clip of the song on Twitter without any music, it didn’t go down well.
After GloRilla praised Cardi B and Latto’s remix of the song, the rapper’s “GloMix” was first just an idea. It was only made a reality as a result of fan requests and the rapper from Invasion of Privacy’s endorsement.
As Yung Miami is said to be joining the party, GloRilla isn’t the only female rapper who has hinted about dropping a line on the hard-hitting Go Grizzly rhythm.
“What makes a bitch cry? The City Girls rapper rhymes, “My n-gga worth a bil/ That n-gga shooting kids in it, put me in his will.
Earlier in June, Cardi B joined Latto on the official “Put It On Da Floor” remix. The song peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently ranked No. 29.
Remixes like this one could extend the usefulness of “Put It On Da Floor” as well as boost its commercial appeal.
