Rising rapper Gelo has announced his debut album League of My Own, dropping June 27 via Def Jam Records. The announcement came Thursday (May 29) alongside a black-and-white trailer showing Gelo flaunting diamond chains to the tune of his new single, “Booted Up.”
The 26-year-old, who earned Billboard’s Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month in February, has been building momentum since the viral success of his breakout hit “Tweaker.” The track peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, went gold, and topped TikTok’s Top 50 Viral Chart. Lil Wayne later joined for a remix.
League of My Own will include 13 tracks, with “Tweaker,” “Law N Order,” “Can You Please” featuring GloRilla, and the 2000s-style “Booted Up” as singles. Gelo aims to cap his rookie year with what he hopes will be the biggest rap album of 2025.
A former NBA G-League player, Gelo broke into music unexpectedly, with “Tweaker” spreading across NEON streams and sports locker rooms nationwide. His next play? Dominating the charts.
