Gambian-American Rapper Rollie Baddo Makes Strong First Impression at Franchise Report.

Rising star Rollie Baddo discussed her musical journey, which began seriously just last year in this episode. Despite having a family steeped in music production and rapping, her brothers wouldn’t let her collaborate until she honed her skills. Now, they’re proud of her achievements, including performing at a PVD Fest.

Rollie Baddo draws inspiration from a variety of genres, including rap, singing, afrobeat, and reggae. She’s already working on a project titled “A Hero Is Nothing But a Sandwich,” inspired by the movie “Somethings Gotta Give” and her own struggles with addiction. She mentioned that the first CD she bought with her own money was 50 Cent’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”

Rollie describes her style as a combination of “cockiness,” “eccentric,” and the ability to seamlessly flow between different genres. Her top five rappers are Biggie, Pac, Big L, Big Pun, and DMX (with an honorable mention to Rich Homie Quan for pioneering the sing-rap style). She hopes to work with local artists Bratz Doll Bonnie, her brother Mr. Mort Beezy, Ray Wheats, and others.

Rollie Baddo will be performing at The Nori on October 18th with vendors and other artists. She ended the interview by showcasing her fierce rapping skills, leaving the audience wanting more. She is definitely an artist to watch.
