Future and Metro Boomin have had an impressive 2024, releasing two major hip-hop albums: “We Don’t Trust You” and “We Still Don’t Trust You.” These albums ignited the public feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, dominating the rap scene and overshadowing other hip-hop activities, which may have inadvertently affected Future and Metro.
Following the album releases, Future and Metro announced their “We Trust You Tour.” However, they encountered the same challenges that have disrupted many other artists’ tours. They canceled several August shows, including those in Milwaukee (8/2), Nashville (8/6), Columbus (8/10), New Orleans (8/20), and Tulsa (8/25), as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. While they didn’t provide specific reasons for the cancellations, it’s likely due to low ticket sales, a common issue for many recent tours.
The “We Trust You Tour” was highly anticipated, so the cancellations are a letdown for fans. If low ticket sales were indeed the cause, hopefully, future tours can adapt and avoid similar issues.
