Issac “Crane” Lane, a standout athlete from Brockton, Massachusetts, has become Massasoit Community College’s all-time leading scorer for their men’s basketball team. His basketball journey, marked by persistence and dedication, has caught the attention of numerous schools, earning him over 30 college offers. Ultimately, he committed to Penn State Schuylkill, drawn by their genuine interest in him as both a player and a person.
Issac’s story began in Brockton, with a brief stint committed to a New York school before finding success at Massasoit. Breaking scoring records, Lane played a pivotal role in making Massasoit basketball more popular, earning admiration for his maturity and solid basketball IQ.
In an interview with ‘The Museum TV’, Issac emphasized the importance of balancing both on-court and off-court character. He encourages young athletes to focus on their academics, advising them to graduate high school and choose colleges based on personal fit rather than prestige. Hard work has been central to Issac’s success, with countless hours of practice in all weather conditions and intense one-on-one games with friends.
Looking ahead, Lane aspires to play professional basketball, aiming for the NBA, G League, or overseas opportunities. He also shared that Detroit rap and his friends’ music keep him motivated before games.
