French Montana and Max B Reunite on New Collab “MAWA (Make America Wavy Again)”

French Montana and Max B have officially reunited with the release of their long-awaited collaboration, “MAWA (Make America Wavy Again).” The track arrived on Friday, Dec. 12, alongside a sleek new music video directed by Kid Art, marking another major moment in the duo’s ongoing comeback run.

Named after a reworked version of former President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, “MAWA” leans fully into the wave-heavy energy that defined French and Max’s earlier collaborations. The new release follows weeks of teasing, with both artists sharing behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot earlier this month as anticipation continued to build.

“MAWA (Make America Wavy Again)” also serves as the first official preview of their upcoming joint project of the same name, which is scheduled to drop on Jan. 9. The release will mark their first collaborative mixtape in six years, signaling a renewed creative partnership following Max B’s recent return home.

The reunion doesn’t stop there. In November, shortly after Max’s release from prison, the Harlem rapper and French Montana announced another project, Coke Wave: NARCOS 3.5, also slated for Jan. 9, 2026. The announcement arrived via a joint Instagram post teasing the return of “Coke Wavy Season,” further fueling excitement around Max’s long-awaited comeback.

Max officially re-entered the music scene last month with the release of “No More Tricks,” his first solo drop since returning home. The track was initially expected to lead into his album Public Domain 7: The First Purge (Patient Zero), which was planned for a Nov. 28 release but has yet to arrive.

Speaking with Billboard earlier this year, Max acknowledged that getting back into form would take time. “It’s going to take me a little second to shake the rust off,” he said, before reassuring fans that more music is on the way. “The music coming. I’m in the lab. It’s coming.”

With “MAWA” now out and multiple projects lined up, French Montana and Max B appear fully locked in as they usher in the next chapter of their longstanding musical partnership.
