Freeverse Presents: Boston Event to Spotlight Young Black Artistry on August 28th.

Freeverse Presents is set to bring its signature showcase to Boston with a live event at the Civic Pavilion on August 28, running from 6–9 PM. The evening will highlight a lineup of emerging and established talent, with admission free and accessible to all.

The event will feature performances from Amanda Shea, Josie Hanna, and Abigail Jean-Baptiste. For one of the artists, the Boston stop will mark their first appearance in the city, adding significance to the occasion.

In addition to live performances, DJ WhySham, Freeverse’s resident DJ, will be on deck, curating music that brings together some of the city’s notable voices while keeping the dance floor active.

More than an open mic, Freeverse Presents positions itself as a cultural movement, an intentional space where BIPOC, LGBTQ+ creatives, youth, elders, and community members across generations are seen, heard, and supported. The event encourages attendees to engage with artistry that not only entertains but also fosters collective expression and transformation.

Presented under the themes of inclusivity, intergenerational exchange, and cultural expression, the Boston edition of Freeverse Presents aims to provide a platform for young Black artistry and community engagement.
