With his first appearance on Saturday Night Live and his performance of hit songs from his third studio album, It’s Only Me, Lil Baby has achieved a new professional milestone.

The rapper performed “California Breeze” on Saturday, January 28. Michael B. Jordan served as the guest host and introduced the performer.

After Future’s I Never Liked You, Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind, and Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, It’s Only Me finished 2022 as the fourth biggest Hip Hop debut.

The project reportedly earned the rapper from Atlanta the top spot on the Billboard 200 list in October 2022 after selling 216,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week. One of the biggest streaming weeks for an album in 2022, 209,000 of those units came from SEAs (streaming equivalent albums), translating to 88.97 million on-demand song streams.

The pianist Chloe Flower, who gained fame in 2019 for performing “Forever” with Cardi B at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, joined the rapper during a second performance when she was dressed in all black.

The song’s hook was performed by rapper and singer-songwriter Fridayy when he was not there, and his voice can be heard on the track.

It’s Only Me, which was released on October 14, also included cameos from Young Thug, Future, Pooh Shiesty, EST Gee, Jeremih, Nardo Wick, and Rylo Rodriguez.
